Circuit breakers’ pole position

08 April 2008

One, two, and three-pole circuit breakers are protected and suited to medical use.

Schurter's TA35 breakers

Schurter’s TA35 breakers have been designed for snap-in mounting, and connections are made with 6.3mm x 0.8mm quick connect terminals.

Providing the function of a switch as well as thermal overload protection, the TA35 has graduated rated currents of 0.05A to 20A for the one and two-pole types, and 0.05A to 12A for three-pole versions. The rocker-actuating switch can be supplied with various legends or customer-specified symbols, in addition to illumination in a choice of six colours.

As an optional protective cover protects the unit from dust or splashed water, the manufacturer states that typical applications are laboratory equipment for chemical and medical use, wood and masonry processing machines, construction site equipment, power generators, and cleaning equipment, as well as food processing appliances.
