The new Parrot Party Black Edition speakers, incorporating Innovision Research and Technology’s Topaz NFC tag, are claimed to be the first commercialised speaker system to integrate the short-range wireless technology. In order to stream music directly to the speakers, the user establishes a Bluetooth connection between an NFC-enabled mobile phone and the Parrot Party speakers with the Innovision Topaz tag that is built in to the speaker and automatically performs the pairing. This removes the need to go through menus and settings; which can be particularly useful if there are a number of Bluetooth devices within range.The 6W Parrot Party Black Edition speakers play around two and a half hours of music with a full charge, and will be available later this year.
