Dust and splash-proof switches

O-ring seal and waterproof grease sealant have been added to PT rotary switches.
The Lorlin PT rotary multi-wafer switches offer up to 144 changeover contacts and are now dust-proof and splash-proof. The make-before-break and break-before-make switch contacts are available with 30° indexing, as standard. Options available include 36°, 60° and 90° indexing.
The switches are used where isolating and routing signals is required, such as garage forecourts, changing frequencies and sensitivities on metal detectors, multi-pole switching (72 changeovers) for switching control and for routing data on military and surveillance equipment.
Contacts may be silver or gold flash plating. Multi-deck connection is via PCB terminals on a 2.54mm pitch. Standard spindle diameters are 6mm or 6.35mm and in lengths moulded to order.
The series can be customised with adjustable stop, brass fixing bush, spindles with special flats and non-standard wafer spacers.
Contacts are rated at 500mA at 250V AC/DC. Operating life expectancy is >10,000 cycle over the -30°C to 85°C range.
