Vishay's USB-OTG bus port protection array provides low typical capacitance of 0.7pF.
Boasting a low maximum leakage current down to 0.085μA at the working voltage of 3.3V, and 1μA at 5.5V in an ultra-compact LLP75-7L leadless package, the VBUS053AZ-HAF device also features a 1.6mm x 1.6mm footprint and a profile of 0.6mm. This ensures ESD protection in high-speed data applications such as USB 2.0 and HDMI in HDTVs and mobile electronics, including portable gaming systems, MP3 players, and mobile phones.
The company’s new device provides three lines of USB ESD protection at a 5.5V working range, and one line of VBUS protection at a 12V working range.
The bus port protection array provides transient protection as per IEC 61000 4 2 (ESD) at 15kV (air and contact discharge), and IEC 61000 4 5 (lightning) from 3A. The lead-free device features a halogen-free moulding compound, and is compliant with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC.
