Memory stick reader plugs directly into SD memory slot on mobile phones while providing connection stability.
A new communications tool for the mobile market was introduced by Elan Digital Systems. The Mobidapter is a USB memory stick reader which plugs directly into the SD memory slot on mobile phones, smart phones and PDAs.
This makes it possible to transfer data such as pictures, MP3 files, Microsoft Office applications, or in fact any type of file from a standard USB memory pen to a mobile device, and vice versa. No PC is needed for the process and no driver software is needed. The device is compatible with virtually all of the latest phones with an external SD memory slot and standard USB memory pens.
In addition, physical connection to the host device avoids problems with wireless connection stability and data security. Power is provided from the host device so no batteries are needed. With its overall size at 1.38 x 2.95 x 0.4 inches and a weight of one ounce, the device is suitable for travelling light, and eliminates the need for carrying a PC around.
