Toyota is getting the MOST out of technology.

Semiconductor company SMSC has announced that its Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) networking technology has been selected as part of the infotainment network for the Toyota Mark X, Sai hybrid sedan and Land Cruiser Prado, as well as the Lexus LS luxury sedan.
The Toyota Mark X and Sai will be distributed in the Japanese market and the Toyota Prado and Lexus LS will be sold globally.
"We are pleased to announce these latest Toyota models to adopt the MOST network infrastructure," said Dr. Christian Thiel, Vice President and General Manager of SMSC's Automotive Information Systems group. "This brings the total number of Toyota models on the road with MOST to 14 since the auto maker began to ramp production with our technology only a few years ago."
SMSC's Automotive Information Systems is a supplier of TrueAuto infotainment and information semiconductor solutions to major automakers, including Audi, BMW, Daimler, Hyundai/Kia, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Toyota and Volvo. SMSC is a founding member of the MOST Co-operation, a co-operative of automakers, automotive systems architects and manufacturers and key components suppliers working to extend and refine the MOST standard for the evolving requirements of automotive multimedia networking.
