The MRC 2300 from Nexcom is a durable 8in tablet PC designed for mobile workers.

Designed for a number of mobile computing applications within industrial, field service, medical, logistics and point-of-sale markets, MRC 2300 is equipped with a 2mp colour camera, built-in 1D/2D barcode scanner, RFID interface, and on-board GPS. It is equipped with Bluetooth version 2.1, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and has optional WWAN support for GSM/GPRS/HSDPA/WCDMA.
Using LED backlight TFT technology, it is equipped with a five wire touch screen that promises endurance and faster response times, and it is based on Intel’s energy efficient Intel Atom N450 1.6GHz 667MHz FSB CPU.
The MRC 2300 can operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C, and has been tested to MIL-STD-810F and IP54 standards. Furthermore, it is housed in a rubber case that can withstand drops from up to 4ft. This new unit measures 280mm x 205mm x 37mm with its protective rubber cladding and weighs 1.44Kg.
Operation is via a stylus, touch, or a PDA-style five-way navigation ring. There are also four programmable function buttons that can be used to perform tasks or bring up applications.
