Energy Star compliant 30W passive power injector is ideal for access points.

Phihong has announced the release of its 30W passive power injectors for PoE Plus applications.
Available in a 2-wire model designated the POE31W series, and a 3-wire model (the POE31U series), both are IEEE802.3at-compliant with output voltage options in 24V or 56V DC.
Furthermore, both meet the requirements for the Ecodesign (ErP) Directive 2009/125/EC level 2 Annex 1b as well as the Energy Star EPS Version 2.0.
The POE31W Series is suitable for applications such as wireless access points, IP print servers, WiMax and Bluetooth access points, as well as security cameras with Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions.
"The POE31U and POE31W are the latest developments in low-cost Power-over-Ethernet passive power injectors that offer users the ability to power any low or high-power POE device over a dedicated Ethernet cable," said Keith Hopwood, Vice President of Marketing for Phihong.
As this series has no detection, the midspan injector is for dedicated power systems only where there is limited opportunity for the intended device to be disconnected and a non-PoE compatible device connected that may result in overpowering.
The 30W passive power series features over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection and bears UL and CE safety approval markings. The series offers a minimum efficiency of 84%, and the low-profile design includes a non-vented, spill-proof case that measures 140mm x 65mm x 36mm and weighs 225g.
