Enabling design
22 February 2011
At Embedded World 2011, Altium will present the new Altium Designer 10 software release.

This brings advances in printed circuit board development, software design and data management.
Some of the highlights include:
Collaborative board design
Multiple designers can work on the same PCB design at the same time.
Design data and release management
Controlled, automated data output processes guarantee highest data integrity.
Component management
A completely new approach to component management including component tracking, revision and lifecycle management as well as live component linking to the supply chain.
Touch design support
Enables quick and easy implementation of complex touch shapes on the circuit board.
New software installation technology
Simple and flexible software configuration allows user to install only their desired or required features and content; and immediate availability of upgrades, so users no longer need to wait for new service packs or versions.
Furthermore, there is support for Windows 7.
Altium will also be showcasing the new TASKING VX-toolset for C166 v3.0r1 featuring an improved and more user-friendly Eclipse IDE. This version also supports the latest XE166 and XC2000 Infineon microcontroller variants.
The latest version of the TASKING toolset for TriCore and Cortex-M / R will also be on display.
