Custom infrared LED capability

Marl can now design and manufacture bespoke infra red LED assemblies, associated with floodlights.

Such lights are becoming increasingly popular in a range of applications where they are used in association with night vision cameras and goggles to 'see without being seen'.
Marl anticipates that customers for these assemblies will include security and perimeter protection organisations, as well as the military.
The company has a proven capability to build and deliver infra red LEDs with wavelengths of 880nm or 940nm. These can be built into a housing to suit the customers' specification, including sealing to IP67 if required.
Dual optimised lens assemblies for spot and flood lighting can also be provided in association with the LED, which can be built into a robust housing made of anodised aluminium.
According to David Moorhouse, Operations Director at Marl International: "Infra red LEDs are extremely robust and power efficient and can withstand high levels of shock and vibration. Designing and building infrared LEDs is a demanding process that involves sourcing products from suppliers in over 20 countries and integrating them together to high standards of quality and reliability. Marl provides customers with a one stop shop: designing a light to their specific requirements, building it to their requirements and standards including all associated documentation, thorough environmental and electrical testing and handling the full logistics supply chain."
