The clock is ticking…
17 May 2011
Only nine days left to claim your place in the electronics hall of fame!

Our annual awards scheme, the e-Legacy awards, is reaching the end of its first phase of the 2011 programme. Entries must have be registered with us by 27th May 2011 if they are to find their way to the judging panels, which are in operation over the following two weeks. The selected finalists will then be voted for by readers of EPD, culminating in awards being presented in September. The finalists, and particularly the winners, get several bites at the publicity cake (through EPD alone) throughout this process and that is just one reason to enter this year’s awards.
The main reason is because the awards have attracted some truly inspirational entries in the past. Some companies now have the many facets of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) so ingrained in their company culture that they may no longer see the work they do as being out of the ordinary, nor their impact on the social and natural environment around them. One day such companies will be in the majority, but we are not there yet. Such companies need to show the way and demonstrate the virtues, including the commercial benefits, of leading the field.
It is not all black and white of course. Outstanding projects in the field of medicine, for example, could be developed by companies who don’t have an active policy on building efficiency or training. But every company who has done something worthwhile over the past 12 months is eligible to enter the e-Legacy awards 2011. And apart from being good publicity there are numerous other benefits to being selected as a finalist – attracting the right sort of employees in the future and motivating current ones being high on the list.
So please consider what your company has done over the last year and enter your achievements at www.EPDontheNET.net. Entry is free and is designed to not take long – so do it today!
