TTI, Inc. now offers MIL-DTL-38999 QPL connector assembly service from its new European facility

TTI, Inc., the global distributor of passive, interconnect, relay & switch and discrete components, has announced that its new European connector assembly facility is now QPL-approved to build Amphenol 38999 connectors. As detailed in a new microsite, www.ttieurope.com/38999, the company offers fast delivery on low volume and prototype order quantities, and is also able to satisfy scheduled volume business.

TTI opened its facility near Munich, Germany last November, mirroring its well-established US facility which performs over 30,000 circular connector assembly operations per day with a defect rate of less then 25ppm. The company’s new European operation is QPL-approved for Amphenol’s MIL-DTL38999 Series I and III, and SJT circular connectors, offering all shell sizes, layouts types in cadmium olive drab and electroless nickel plated finishes. TTI also offers all required connector accessories including, backshells/adapters, boots, contacts, terminals, and heat shrink tubing.

TTI has also announced that its new European connector assembly facility can now assemble Series I and Series III 38999 circular connectors from Souriau, the manufacturer of high reliability interconnect solutions for severe environments such as the Aerospace, Defense / Space, Heavy Industry (Railway & Mass Transit, Nuclear, Oil & Gas) and Industrial Equipment markets.

Souriau’s 8D 38999 Series III family, the screw-coupled version of MIL-C-38999, is targeted at extreme environments. Devices feature: a high contact density of up to 128 contacts (#22D); quick screw coupling with self-locking mechanism; and a high resistance to harsh environments.

Souriau’s 8LT product family is qualified in accordance to MIL-DTL-38999 Series I. Originally designed to meet the high performance needs of the aerospace industries & military applications, it is also now used in varied applications needing extremely reliable interconnections with high density contact arrangements in a miniature circular shell.
