IHLP low-profile, high-current inductor
20 September 2011
Boasting a 3.0 mm profile, it offers inductance values from 0.22 µH through 10.0 µH.

Vishay Intertechnology has launched a new IHLP low-profile, high-current inductor in the 3232 case size with an ultra-low 3.0 mm profile.
The compact IHLP-3232CZ-01 offers high efficiency with maximum DCR down to 1.61 mΩ. With a frequency range up to 5 MHz, the IHLP-3232CZ-01 serves as a high-performing, space and power-saving solution for voltage regulator module (VRM) and dc-to-dc converter in end products. These could be, for example, mobile devices, notebooks, desktop computers, servers, graphics cards, portable gaming systems, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, automotive systems, low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load (POL) converters, distributed power systems, and FPGAs.
The IHLP-3232CZ-01 offers a saturation current range from 8.2 A up to 43.0 A, a heat rating current range from 4.7 A to 32.0 A, and maximum DCR from 1.61 mΩ to 71.20 mΩ.
The new inductor also handles high transient current spikes without hard saturation. Packaged in a RoHS-compliant, 100 % lead-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels, the device is specified for an operating temperature range of - 55°C to + 125°C, with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
Samples and production quantities of the new inductor are available now, with lead times of 10 weeks for large orders.
