Slim model has a big voice

High performance sounder boasts super compact dimensions.

Motion29 has released Patlite’s new super skinny MP3 voice annunciator, which is their thinnest model yet. The BSV has a depth of 19.9mm; nearly 80% slimmer than the BDV model.
The new model is designed to complement the miniaturisation of modern production line equipment. It is easy to install, requiring less labour time than traditional models, and incorporates a built-in sound reduction function to limit noise pollution and power dissipation.
Despite its slim build, a maximum sound of 87 dB (at 1m) can be reached in normal operation mode. The sound reduction function (recommended for night-time use, while on standby) allows the operator to have full control by reducing the volume from between -1 and -50dB in line with environmental conditions.
Volume adjustment is easily accessible from the front panel, and a low power of 3.5W (max) takes an extra load off the power supply. An SD card slot is incorporated into the unit to allow messages to be written and re-written and the Patlite Playlist Editor software (free to download) allows messages to be added or edited with ease.
The BSV model allows for versatility in installation, and versions are available for wall and panel mount. The front design is available in three colours to enable integration in all applications, whether production sites or public locations. Furthermore, the speaker structure is designed to repel water, allowing for exposition to environments where rain showers or similar may be present.
