In order to facilitate the validation of Finite Element Models of ultrasonic (US) actuators in medical and industrial applications Polytec expands its range of non-contact vibration measurement systems with a high frequency and high amplitude sensor technology (24MHz).

To enable improve measurement and characterisation of newly designed and developed US tools. The new scanning laser Doppler Vibrometer PSV-400-M4-S provides full-field data of both large and macro sized components.

Deflection shapes and response functions are acquired automatically in minutes with high precision and with no side effect to the specimen. The integrated visualization shows directly where and how US energy is coupled into the transducer. In addition the system allows the visualization of sound fields and modes of vibration, e.g. of nebulisers by means of the refracto-vibrometry.
