Switches are designed for high temperature soldering and are ideal for modern assembly processes.

APEM Components, a manufacturer of switches and joysticks, introduces the P65 series of rotary switches; a high temperature version of APEM’s PT65 dual in-line package (DIP) coded rotary switch.
The P65 series is specially designed for high temperature soldering and is ideal for modern assembly processes. The P65 series is used in the automotive, communication, consumer electronics, and defence markets, as well as electrical appliances, industrial automation, and medical, amongst others.
The P65 series is available in surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (TH). The contact paths have abrasion-resistant gold plating. With a mechanical lifetime of 30,000 steps, it is available in 4, 6, 10, and 16 positions. The switches are 6.5mm x 10mm x 10mm.
The P65’s permissible Reflow soldering temperature of 260°C for 10sec, wave of 280°C for 5sec, and 340°C for 2sec. Standard actuators include arrow-shaped and cross-shaped slots. Additional actuators are available upon request, including spindle, segment wheel, rotary axle, knob, and wheel.
